Batavia United Methodist Church, 8 North Batavia Avenue (between Houston & Wilson Streets) on the east side of Batavia Avenue (Route 31) – entrance for walk is at the back of the church on Water Street. |
| Time: | 1:15pm – Registration Begins, 1:50pm – Invocation & instructions for walkers, 2:00pm – Step off |

Inside Batavia United Methodist Church at marked tables (enter from Water Street). Be sure to sign the Statement of Consent (and have your parent/guardian also sign if under age 18) to speed registration on October 18th. The statement of consent is on the front of your walker envelope. Please collect all of your pledges prior to walking on October 18th and bring the money sealed in the walker envelope to the registration table with the top sheet attached. If you are unable to collect all of your pledges prior to walking on October 18th, bring only the top tear-off sheet of the walker envelope. Keep the walker envelope to collect your remaining pledges. Return the walker envelope along with your money to your recruiter by October 25th. Please fill out the walker form information completely. |
| Parking | In the Fifth/Third and Harris Bank parking lots (behind the church on Water Street) and on surrounding streets. Please do not park in the church lot off of Water Street since that is where the walkers will gather before starting the walk. |
| Route | This is a 5 kilometer walk on city sidewalks and the Fox River Trail. There is one rest stop halfway through the walk. |
| Refreshments | Water is provided at the rest stop during the walk and at the end of the walk. |
| Before Walking |
Get sponsors!!! Fill out the walker envelope completely with your name, address, phone number, church/organization, and the total amount of pledges. Pledges are by donation rather than kilometer. For further instructions, see the reverse side of the walker envelope. Please collect all pledges in advance with sponsors making checks payable to CWS/CROP. Have the sponsor fill out their information completely. Also, set up your own “Walk on the Web” (WOW) web page at www.cropwalk.org. Invite family and friends to visit the page to make their pledge. Indicate the amount of WOW pledges on your walker envelope. |
| After Walking | Please collect any unpaid pledges and give them to your recruiter by October 25th. Again, please have sponsors make checks payable to CWS/CROP. |

pledges before the walk, you will allow the money raised by this walk reach those in need
much faster!!!
